Power cuts and emergencies

For power cuts, simply call 105 to be connect with your electricity network operator. They manage the cables, wires and infrastructure that deliver power to you, and are there to fix a problem when it occurs. Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) and Independent Distribution Network Operators (IDNOs) are responsible for ensuring that homes and businesses are never without electricity. There are six DNOs that operate in different geographical regions in England, Scotland and Wales, and several IDNOs that operate across regions. DNOs and IDNOs look after the wires that connect your business to the National Grid. If you experiences any issues regarding power supply you must contact the local distribution company in your area. If you’re unsure how to contact them, you can use the two digits at the bottom left of your supply number (which you’ll find on your electricity bill) to help you find the right contact number from this list.
